This extraordinary two-floor space is your canvas for crafting unforgettable events, offering breathtaking views of Johannesburg from its wrap-around balcony. A built-in stage, built-in bar and digital screen make it ready for almost any production out of the box.
Hosting at The Playground means inheriting a posture. The room is set up to do large-scale events exceptionally well, and to flex into adjacent kinds of evening with a small amount of tuning. We don't believe in flexible rooms that mean nothing on their own.
Production, lighting, sound and bar service can all be tailored to brief. We work with a small group of trusted partners, and we'll handle the orchestration so you don't have to.

The Playground is our largest venue and can comfortably accommodate 1000 guests or more, making it our go-to space for large-scale events.

Venue hire is R45,000 excluding VAT per day. This covers the venue space only — no additional services are included.

The venue hire fee covers the space itself. All bar and beverage operations are managed exclusively by Play Braamfontein and will be quoted as a separate line item based on your event requirements.

Yes. A setup (load-in) day and a breakdown (strike) day can each be added to your booking as separate line items.

Terms & Conditions
Suppliers
*Note all suppliers are responsible for all their equipment - they need to arrive fully equipped with all the tools needed to complete their tasks. Play Braamfontein will not be responsible for supplying any ladders, extension cords, generators, tools etc.
Cancellation
If the event is cancelled within 10 days of the event, Play Braamfontein is entitled to:
50% of the booking fee
If the event is cancelled within 7 days of the event, Play Braamfontein is entitled to:
100% of the booking fee
Payment
To secure your booking, a deposit of 50% needs to be paid. Your booking will be held for 48 hours and will be booked once proof of payment of the deposit has been received.
Full payment needs to be paid 10 working days before the event. No one will be allowed to enter the space until the full amount has been paid.
Damage/Loss
Play Braamfontein shall not be held liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings or property during events hosted at our venue spaces. We encourage guests to take necessary precautions and secure their possessions accordingly.
