Yes. Hugh's Jazz Club is available for exclusive private hire. Venue hire is R110,000 excluding VAT per day.

Venue hire includes: venue manager, bar staff, kitchen staff, security, cleaners, door and elevator hostesses, and the in-house PA system. Food, drinks, and entertainment are not included and are quoted separately. Any technical riders and sound technicians are quoted separately.

Yes. External caterers are welcome to use our fully equipped kitchen. They will need to provide proof of insurance and liability cover prior to the event.

We do not have in-house musicians, but we can connect you with our artist booker who handles all our regular performers.

Our standard offering includes an in-house PA system. Screens and projection equipment are not part of the venue's standard offering — these would need to be sourced and supplied by you or your AV supplier. We do have a designated screen position at the back of the stage; site visits are recommended to determine your placement.

Suppliers
*Note all suppliers are responsible for all their equipment - they need to arrive fully equipped with all the tools needed to complete their tasks. Play Braamfontein will not be responsible for supplying any ladders, extension cords, generators, tools etc.
Cancellation
If the event is cancelled within 10 days of the event, Play Braamfontein is entitled to:
50% of the booking fee
If the event is cancelled within 7 days of the event, Play Braamfontein is entitled to:
100% of the booking fee
Payment
To secure your booking, a deposit of 50% needs to be paid. Your booking will be held for 48 hours and will be booked once proof of payment of the deposit has been received.
Full payment needs to be paid 10 working days before the event. No one will be allowed to enter the space until the full amount has been paid.
Damage/Loss
Play Braamfontein shall not be held liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings or property during events hosted at our venue spaces. We encourage guests to take necessary precautions and secure their possessions accordingly.
