About
A precinct, not a venue.
Play Braam event spaces exist because the traditional model is no longer enough. They offer something fundamentally different: a curated precinct of distinctive venues, designed to work together.
Philosophy
Spaces should be active participants, not backdrops.
We design each venue to do specific work. The City Beach Club is a posture; Hugh's Jazz Club is a perspective; The Rooftop Basketball Court is a provocation. None of them are interchangeable, and none of them are accidental.
Materials are chosen for what they do to a room when it's empty - and what they do to a room when it's full. Concrete, marble, glass, exposed steel, raw plaster. Surfaces that absorb light. Surfaces that throw it back.
The point is curatorial: a precinct that reads as a single editorial body, even though every venue is unmistakeably its own. That coherence is the most expensive thing we make, and it's invisible until you've spent an evening inside it.
